Australia’s wicket-keeper batsman, Brad Haddin, has said that even though the side will miss Ponting at the one-down slot, it is great to have a talented batsman like Marsh to replace him at the crucial batting position.
After Ponting’s return, it was expected that Brad Haddin, who played at No. 7 in the opening Test, will be promoted at the top-order since he is Australia’s regular opening batsman in limited-over cricket. Yet, the team management decided to give opportunity
to Marsh who played most of his cricket at the top-order.
Haddin believes that Marsh is well equipped to unleash his talent in the longest version of the game, adding that the classy left-hander is a magnificent timer of the cricket ball.
"It will be disappointing to lose Ricky, but it's a good opportunity to give Shaun http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362 a crack at Test cricket. He's going to be a wonderful player I think, Shaun, and I think he's ready now for Test cricket,” said Haddin.
While aiming to hammer the Islanders in the second Test, the Aussie wicket-keeper did not forget to praise his teammates for sealing an emphatic 125-run triumph in the first Test, which ended on September 3, 2011.
He claimed that Australia’s comprehensive Test win on the Lankan soil shows that the Kangaroos have the ability to adapt to the conditions and produce good results in any part of the world.
"I think it also shows small steps forward, we're trying to move forward as a cricket team and be better cricketers. Whether it's here, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757, wherever. You've got to make sure you're trying to get better and better so you can present yourself
well on all services,” shared the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918.
