Brad Haddin is still the best wicketkeeper in Australia, says Michael Clarke – Cricket News Update
Australia’s captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MJ-Clarke-c1978, has backed the 34-year-old wicketkeeper/batsman, Brad Haddin, to return to the Aussie Test team for the next season even though the middle-order batsman is very impressed with the young wicketkeeper, Mathew Wade.
The veteran wicketkeeper flew back home ahead of the One Day International series in the Caribbean due to family reasons and was replaced by Wade, who has been doing quite well in the limited-overs version of the sport since the last six months.
Australia has tried a number of young keepers since the retirement of Adam Gilchrist, but the national cricket management still believes that Haddin is the best keeper in the country at the moment.
Of late, the wicketkeeper/batsman has had a rough time in international cricket and dropped some crucial catches in the Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 recently. Some of the former cricketers have called for Haddin's axing, but the selectors have
kept faith in him.
Clarke, who has a lot of say in the selection, has no doubts in his mind that Haddin will regain his place in the team, once he gets over with his personal issues.
The Australian captain said, “In my opinion, Brad will come back into the Test side when fully fit and available."
However, the right-handed middle-order batsman is happy with Wade's progress in international cricket and feels that the tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 has been a great learning curve for the youngster because of the different playing conditions.

and also http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 said.
Historically, Australia has produced a lot of high-class wicketkeepers like Rodney http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918. After the retirement of Gilchrist, it was widely expected that it would be very hard for any youngster to walk in the footsteps of the
legendary cricketer and it has indeed been the case.
