Brad Keselowski once again dominates the nationwide event at Michigan
Saturday 14th August, was a big day for American racer Brad Keselowski, as he won the NASCAR nationwide race at the famous International Speedway in Michigan. It was a big day for Keselowski, as he managed to win the race despite of having some troubles with his car.
During the race, Brad suffered some mechanical problems with his car but he kept his nerves manly and proved his strong existence in the event. He secured an ample amount of time by managing pit stops well and got the lead when race was short of eight laps. No doubt he has successfully proven that he is a fighter when it comes to racing, and has done it again. After the race, the 26-year-old race champ told the media about the race, and expressed his views by saying that it was a nervous day for him. He was worried about the clutch of his vehicle, which thankfully made a little problem and he still managed to win the title. Keselowski added that he was very nervous but tried to keep his head cool and at the end it helped him a lot. The Michigan native, Brad Keselowski seemed much relaxed and confident while talking to the media about his remarkable success and said that it was a special day as he was not expecting more from his car but thankfully everything went well for him.
Brad’s veteran rival, Carl Edwards finished second in the race and gave a very strong challenge to the winner. Both the rivals fought hard and raced side by side till the end. After finishing the race Edwards seemed pretty happy and much confident. He said he is happy with the way he has performed, and will try to compete with the same enthusiasm in the future as well. Despite of finishing second Edward seemed pretty relaxed because he was aware of the cutthroat competition. While talking about the race he said that we raced really well and gave each other strong competition, which was a very good thing for both of us. He admired the role of Keselowski and said that he deserved the victory, and is a very good racer to race against. Edwards was followed by Kyle Busch and after a neck to neck competition to the second-place holder and finished third.
At one hand the race was a sign of sigh for Keselowski and Edwards, but on the other hand it was a serious test for Danica Patrick. She struggle throughout the race and finished at the 27th number, which was certainly not a place she was craving for. After an unsatisfactory finish, Danica Patrick said that winning and losing is a part of game and she is confident to bounce back strongly. She added that she will have to work over the field of starting the race perfectly, which might help her gain the lead easily and efficiently.
Justin Allgaier finished at the fourth spot, who was behind the Paul Menard. This title was the 10th major title for Keselowski. After winning the nationwide title Brad has earned himself 347 points. No doubt he has shown his capacity and that is why he is leading the table of NASCAR racing driver’s list. By winning the race it is proved that racing against this 26-year-old Michigan veteran racer is not an easy pill to swallow. Keselowski said that his rivalry against Edwards is just on the racing circuit and he admires the sportsmen spirit of Carl who is a better person and a thrilling racer.
The fans are now looking forward to see both the rivals again in the next nationwide event.
