Bradbury expected to finish first in Rover Handicap
Bradbury is expected to add second straight victory to his career chart by winning Pentland Land Rover Handicap that will be held at Musselburgh on Friday, May 25. The Class 4 contest will begin at 7:45 (GMT).
On the flat track of 1 mile and 6 furlongs, the James Bethell-trained veteran gelding will compete against 10 strong rivals such as The Bells O Peover, My Arch, Amazing King, Royal Swain, Spirit Of A Nation, Jeu De Vivre, Los Nadis, Mojolika, Forrest Flyer and Golden Future. A prize cheque worth £7,116 is ready for the supposed winner.
Bradbury marvellous finished first in his last outing on May 3, 2012. This epic success has hiked his confidence to a great extent. Prior to these feats, the four-year-old experienced sprinter had grabbed a runner-up rank in Try Our New Gallery Restaurant Juvenile Hurdle on March 12.
The brilliant runner also accomplished a magnificent victory on October 213, 2011. As a whole, he has earned £19,240 so far.
Thus, the talented son of Redback out of Simonaventura holds enough fighting spirit at the moment. If he runs to his best and capitalises well on his capabilities, he will have up to 90 percent chances to finish first.
However, Royal Swain can wrest success from Bradbury’s jaws. The Alan Swinbank also finished first in his last start on May 5, 2012. Earlier, he had gained a third and second position in December 2011. Overall, he has won 5 of his total 19 races to date.
If Bradbury does not employ a blocking strategy against this rival, he will have to face the music in the end.
Los Nadis is also likely to perform well in the Rover Handicap. Jim Goldie’s veteran gelding excellently finished as a runner-up in a race each on January 2 and April 26, 2012. As a whole, he has 10 epic victories to his name.
In this situation, there will be a fierce battle today. The race will be thrilling and amazing to watch. Let us enjoy the fantastic action. Good luck to all the contestants.
