Bradford Allan of Saint John New Brunswick?

Question

Bradford Allan is my g-g- grandfather and he was born on 1869 and married Sadie Ring. I know who their children are but I am having trouble finding out where Bradford was born and I cannot find his parents or where they are from. Bradford Allan lived in Saint John most (if not all) of his life and he is of Scottish decent but the question is was he born in Scotland or was his parents? I ask this because I cannot find any birth records of him or any Allan's in Saint John. There are Allen's in New Brunswick but none with the spelling Allen are related to me because I already counted them out. And I cannot find anyone with the name Allan in Saint John. Please help me find Bradfords Parents- all I need is a name to help me with this search. I have a lot of lost ancestors. You will not see the last of these sort of questions.
