Bradford Bulls prop Nick Scruton to miss rest of Super league season - Rugby

Nick Scruton of the Bradford Bulls will sit outside the remaining season of Super rugby league because of a surgical operation to correct the damage to his wrist ligament.
This wrist injury took place many weeks ago and has caused the player to miss many of matches lined up so far. This operation was undertaken to repair the injured wrist and has pushed the player out of the remaining two fixtures of super league.
With this hand injury, he has joined Marc Herbert who will also sit outside the remaining season because of his hand was also  injured. Both player are now confined to the benches for the remainder season. This has been further revealed that their recovery
time will permit them to be part of the pre-season training sessions that will be conducted, before the start of the next season.
Bulls’ hopes for booking themselves a play-off spot is long gone, as they recently were severely defeated 12-60 by the Wigan Warriors on Friday. This 12-try victory of the Wigans over Bulls had completely crushed any faint hopes of confirming play-off position.
Wigans with this defeat managed to have a splendid forerunner of the fixture lined up at Wembley, on the Saturday, August 27 which is the final showdown of the Carnegie Challenge Cup.
This encounter not only unveiled the performance profile of many, which includes Pat Richards of Warriors who managed to convert only 6 out of 12 tries.
While speaking about the Friday night’s embarrassing defeat over Wigans, Mick Potter, the coach of Bulls added, "I thought the guys tried but we just didn't get the ball in the second half. They sit at the top of the table for a reason. They're a complete
footie team. If we are going to give them that much possession, we need to be much better in our defence.John Bateman's a good up-and-coming player and I expect you'll see him more in the teamsheet in the future. He's got a great attitude. We need to bring
more of that type of player through."
