Bradford Bulls sign Marcus Elliott on a two-year contract – Rugby League News
West Yorkshire based English professional Rugby League Football club, Bradford Bulls, has announced the signing of the young and talented Stand-Off Marcus Elliott to further strengthen their squad for the 2012 season’s campaign. Officials at the club have announced the signing of the Elliott to a two-year deal in a statement released on their website on Monday, September 12.  
Elliott will be joining the Bulls from Leeds Rhinos.
Elliott has expressed his pleasure on signing his professional two-year deal with the Bulls. He confirmed that he has declined the Leeds Rhinos two-year deal to join the Bulls.
In replying to the question related to factors which compelled Elliott to join Bulls, the player pointed at the training facilities and management’s plans as the main factors which influenced his decision to join Bulls. He expressed his confidence that during his two-season stay at the club he will enhance and polish his rugby skills.
Elliott said, “I was offered another contract by Leeds but after speaking to Paul Medley and Stu Barrow, hearing their ambitions for the Club and looking round the superb Training Centre at Tong School.”
Elliott has expressed his confidence that he will settle quickly into the new club. He added that he is not concerned about training and playing with the seniors’ team.  He added that he is looking forward to join the rest of the Bulls squad in their 2012 Super League’s pre-season training.
Bradford Bulls Head of Youth Development, Paul Medley, has expressed his excitement on signing the young prospective player. He added that Stand-Off is a very important position and they felt the need to strengthen their Stand-Off resources in their 2011 Super League campaign.
Medley said, “Stand Off is a position in which we were short last season in both the Academy and Under 20's and we are delighted to have signed such a high quality player.”
Commenting on the selection of Elliott for the all-important role, Medley said, “We feel Marcus has all the attributes to go a long way in the game.”
The Leeds born Elliott joined the Leeds Rhinos in 2009. With his hard work, commitment and dedication he quickly established his reputation as a young and talented player in a short span of time. Besides his excellent, ball handling and carrying skills, he is also renowned for his tremendous goal kicking skills.  Before joining Leeds, he played for Rodillian High School and Hunslet Parkside.
The 17-year-old Elliott has a bright future ahead of him, and this professional deal will g a long way in developing his rugby career.
