Bradley: I think the key is staying focused for 12 rounds – Boxing News
After Lamont Peterson’s positive drug test news broke out, many fighters on the industry feel demoralized. Among all, Timothy Bradley is the one who came forward to speak his heart out. The unbeaten American who is scheduled to take on Manny Pacquiao on
June 9, is still in shock to learn how careless Peterson has been.
In his recent interview, Bradley spoke about Peterson and the reason Peterson has put forth to defend the positive drug test result. Bradley iterated, “I don't know if he had a legitimate medical problem or not. If he did have low testosterone like they
say, there were other things he could have used. I'm responsible for what I put in my body. I'm very careful about anything I use. If you buy something over the counter at the store, you don't know what you're getting. I think the key is staying focused for
12 rounds, keeping my head in it for each three minutes of each round. You can't be lackadaisical against Manny Pacquiao, or he's going to make you pay. “
When asked about his training for the big day against Manny Pacquiao, the ‘Desert Storm’ said he is ready for anything. He added that he respects Manny Pacquiao as a fighter and as a man and that he expects Manny to bring his best to the ring. As a reply
to Freddie Roach’s recent comments, Bradley said that Freddie Roach is unaware of his capabilities and that Roach does not know how fast and strong he is.
For now, Bradley has said enough to leave an impression on the Filipino champion, who will be defending his title against the unbeaten American. Pacquiao is currently in Los Angeles, training at Roach’s Wild Card Gym.
Roach, in his previous interview, spoke about Bradley’s fighting style. According to Roach, Bradley is not good enough to beat Pacquiao because he lacks good punching power. However, Bradley believes that Roach does not really know what he can do against
Pacquiao. On June 09, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, both fighters will go head to head to decide which one is the better man.
