Mark Cavendish and Bradley Wiggins are undoubtedly two of the biggest cycling stars currently riding under Team Sky colours.
The two British riders are now queuing up for the upcoming Tour of Denmark scheduled from August 22-26, 2012.
Race Sports Director admired the participation of two of the most shining stars in the sport of cycling and noted that their inclusion will definitely help in promoting the race.
Mark Cavendish will ride the Tour of Denmark as a reigning UCI World Road Champion whereas; Bradley Wiggins is coming fresh after an overall victory at the Tour de France and the Olympics gold.
Wiggin’s participation at the race will make it a first appearance by a Tour de France reigning champion at the Danish race since 1996.
As noted on the team’s website, "That we can present a world champion in the rainbow jersey and a Tour de France winner and Olympic champion speaks for itself”.
“It's quite simple cycling's biggest stars who are coming to Denmark” said race director Jesper Worre.
“It is without doubt the strongest field we've ever had, and I can only urge Danes to get out and experience these world stars”.
Cavendish and Bradley will be accompanied by Andre Greipel of Team Lotto Belisol and his inclusion will only make the competition more interesting.
