Bradley Wiggins is delighted with his time trial performance during the stage 9 of the Tour de France which also helped him in strengthening his lead at the overall classifications.
"The noise when I rolled off the ramp was incredible. I tried not the let that faze me in terms of not going off too hard".
"I'm really pleased with the way I put the ride together and mentally how I put the day together. That's what I've been focusing on, so my main emotions are relief and pride in myself for doing all this".

The British professional cyclist started his 2012 winning account with a stage 9 victory at the Paris-Nice and also succeeded at the point’s classifications and an overall win at the race.
Wiggins also secured overall victories at the Tour de Romandie, the Criterium du Dauphine and finished third overall at the Volta ao Algarve 2012.
He also bagged stages at the Volta ao Algarve, the Criterium du Dauphine and the Tour de Romandie and was a pre-race favourite ahead of the Tour de France.
Wiggin’s performance during the season has earned him a third overall spot after the UCI World Tour Elite Men ranking with a total number of 335 UCI points in his back pocket.
Joaquim Rodriguez of Team Katusha is leading the category with a total number of 404 UCI points with Tom Boonen of Team Omega Pharma-Quick Step holding the second position with 366 points to his credit.
The 32-year-old completed the 41.5 kilometre stage 9 of the Tour de France in a quickest time of 51 minutes and 24 seconds and restricted the race favourites.
Christopher Froome of Team Sky Procycling finished 35 seconds behind at the second position with Fabian Cancellara, Tejay van Garderen and Sylvain Chavanel of Team Omega Pharma-Quick Step holding the third, the fourth and the fifth positions respectively.
Bradley is currently leading the stage 9 classifications with a healthy lead of 1 minute and 53 seconds over Cadel Evans.
Christopher Froome, Vincenzo Nibali and Denis Menchov occupy the third, the fourth and the fifth position in the respective order.
