Bradley Wiggins feeling ‘no pressure’ ahead of the Tour de France 2012
Bradley Wiggins is definitely a hot favourite for the Tour de France considering his form in the first half of the season.
He currently holds the third overall position after the UCI Elite Men World Tour rankings with a total number of 335 UCI points to his credit.
Joaquim Rodriguez of Team Katusha is leading the classifications with 404 points with Tom Boonen of Team Omega Pharma-Quick Step holding the second spot with 366 UCI points.
The British professional cyclist has noted that he is not feeling any pressure mainly because of several victories in his bag already.
"I now realise what it takes to compete and to train hard week in, week out”.
“I also have the maturity to be able to lead races and not have it take so much out of you that you need two months off after a big success”.
“The confidence from winning those races has also helped build the momentum”.
He bagged overall victories at the Tour de Romandie, Paris-Nice, Criterium du Dauphine and occupied the third overall position at the Volta ao Algarve 2012.

Andre briefed that he has checked a couple of Tour stages and has also gone through the official Tour Guide in detail.
“I don’t have to worry about who’s going to be in the Tour team in March or April. I just have to concentrate on myself, get the results and they’ll come up with the strategy".
The 32-year-old holds as many ten Grand Tour appearances including four Giro d’Italia, five Tour de France and one Vuelta a Espana participation to his credit.
His best performance at the Tour came back in 2009 when he managed to secure the fourth overall position at the race.
Like its entire previous version, Tour de France 2012 is expected to bring a lot of surprises and the exclusion of Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck will definitely open the door for other riders.
Both Andy and Contador have tasted the Tour podium on numerous occasions and their exit from the coming version of the race will only make it more interesting.
