Bradley to look out for the defending champion, Galaxy Rock, in the Henrietta Knight Handicap Chase
A highly competitive and versatile field has lined up for the Grade 3 Henrietta Knight Handicap Chase. The three mile, three furlong and 110 yard event is scheduled for Saturday, 17th November at Cheltenham. The winner will get to walk away with the £28,475 prize money. The highlights of the field are, Galaxy Rock and Bradley.
The field also has the Paul Nicholls trained, Harry The Viking.
The eight-year-old chestnut gelding, Bradley, is backed by 11 to 2 odds and will be teamed up with jockey, Paddy Brennan. Two out of his four seasonal outings at Cheltenham have been successes.
Returning after a year’s gap, the Fergal O’Brien trained scored second in the seasonal debut that came in the form of Willoughby De Broke Hunters’ Chase on 26th January, 2012 at Warwick over three miles and half a furlong.
The first success of Karinga Bay’s gelding was in the Royal Artillery Gold Cup (A Chase For Amateur Riders) on 17th February, 2012 at Sandown race course over three miles and half a furlong.
The favourite entry defeated Aldertune by a neck’s mark.
The J. C. Collett owned then made an impact in the Betfair Remembers Tim Molony Handicap Chase on 7th April, 2012 at Haydock over three miles and four furlong.
Entered as the favourite at another occasion, the eight-year-old out of, Good Taste, set sail across the wire by an impressive margin of six lengths, cornering Wide Receiver as the runner-up.
His first success story at Cheltenham during the current season came in the form of Champion Hunters’ Chase over three miles and 2 ½ furlongs.
The evening’s favourite was the leader of the final 100 yards, costing Turko the winner’s prize money.
His most recent attempt saw him ending at the fourth spot in the Ryman The Stationer Handicap Chase. T
The distance over which they have to contest today is expected to enhance the performance of the P. A. Broad.
