Bradley’s trainer Joel Diaz is worried for him – Boxing News
Timothy Bradley, who is schedule to take on Manny Pacquiao on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, was present at the Indian Wells to promote his mega fight. This is Bradley’s first ever mega bout and he seemed excited about it. However, his trainer Joel
Diaz thinks it is too early for Bradley to get excited. Diaz thinks Bradley is being taken up by the distractions and that instead he should focus more on his training.
Joel iterated, “I worry about distractions.” On the other hand, Bradley, 28, thinks it is too early to start training. When asked, Bradley said, “It’s too early to start training. Right now I’m just working on cutting my weight, eating the right foods.”
Bradley currently stands with 28 wins, 0 loss and 12 knockouts, whereas Pacquiao stands with 54 wins, 3 losses, 2 draws and 38 knockouts. Both the fighters are considered among the top pound-for-pound boxers in the world. It should be noted here that Bradley
is an unbeaten fighter to date.
Diaz further added, “The fight itself, I’m not worried about. I’m comfortable with Timothy’s abilities.”
Bradley is an outstanding fighter and this fact is admitted by his upcoming opponent as well. Manny Pacquiao, the current WBO welterweight champion, in his recent press conference in Los Angeles said, “It’s going to be a good fight because Timothy Bradley
is a strong fighter and he likes to fight toe to toe. He knows the game plan. I’m going to come straight to him. This ain’t no game.”
As of now, none of the fighters has started their training. While Bradley is busy enjoying his pre-training days, Manny Pacquiao is busy talking to God, at least that is how he is putting it these days. In his recent interview, Pacquiao said that God has
directed him to leave the sport since he has already achieved a lot. Trainers of both the fighters are highly confident about their training plans. It is going to be a real mega-fight and a bigger one than Mayweather vs. Cotto since both, Manny and Timothy,
are up to the mark unlike Cotto who does not stand a chance against Mayweather.
