Braids in coast guard Basic Training

Question

I plan on going to basic in Oct. Does any one know if i can wear micro braids or corn-rows during basic training? Are there any restrictions on hair care products?

Female African Americans ONLY may have cornrows( but no microbraids) they must be close against the scalp, no beads and can only be secured by plain rubber bands the same color as the hair.
