Brian Meehan’s Most Improved collecting bets for the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Craven Stakes
Most Improved, trained by Brian Meehan for owner, Iraj Parvizi, will be competing in the Novae Bloodstock Insurance Craven Stakes (Group 3) (Colts & Geldings) at Newmarket on 19th April, 2012, where he will be ridden by jockey
Kieren Fallon.
Entering this race will give the three-year-old a chance to demonstrate his true ability. It will be a steppingstone for  Most Improved ahead of the 1 mile Qipco 2000 Guineas Stakes (204th Running) (British Champions Series), which is scheduled to
take place at Newmarket on 5th May, 2012.
The son of Lawman, out of Tonnara, downed a massive victory in the EBF "Dutch Art" Piper-Heidsieck Champagne Maiden Stakes at Newmarket on 26th August, 2011, where he defeated, Welcome Gift, by 5 lengths.
Due to the fact that he succeeded earlier at Newmarket, the odds are stacking in his favour. Paddy Power has declared him the favourite with the odds of 11 to 8.
Born To Surprise will also be participating in this event. The three-year-old colt is under the training of Michael Bell, who trains him for owner, Dr. Ali Ridha.
The son of Exceed And Excel, out of mare Dubai Surprise, triumphed over Star Date by 5 lengths in the Crownhotel-bawtry.com Maiden Stakes at Doncaster on 1st April, 2012.
Referring to his runner’s victory at Doncaster, he told the press that:  "Born To Surprise has come out of his Doncaster race well and we have always had a high opinion of him."
He further added that:  "I am just hoping that we don't get too much rain at Newmarket because he is a very good mover. He certainly warrants his place in the line-up and he is colt that we like a lot. The Craven Stakes will show us whether he is good
enough for the 2,000 Guineas at this stage of his career."
Mighty Ambition, who is trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni also, has the right form to claim a placed finish in this race.
The trainer is pleased with his maiden victory, which took place at Newbury on 17th September, 2011, in the Wedgewood Estates E B F Maiden Stakes (Div I) and his connections would be hoping that he will perform in the same manner.
