  1. truth is universal, and you can prove it is true if multiple people come to the same conclusion.

    for instance, 2+2=4.

if a farmer has 2 eggs and adds 2 more, he gets 4. if a mexican has 2 sombreros and adds 2 more, he gets 4 of them. if a celebrity has 2 limos and adds 2 more, it still comes out to be four, proving that people can come to the same conclusion even if they look at it from different angles.

  2. We can't know or prove something is true or a fact.

    There are only "interpretations"

We judge truth or fact according to our beliefs, standards etc.

    Everything is relative

  3. truth isn't a what...it's a who...Jesus Christ.

Jesus said "I AM the Way the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except by Me."

  4. it can be ones FAITH

    or

    what 1 assumes to be

  5. Truth is honesty, sincerity, and faith . Body language and intuitive feeling

  6. Truth enables the truth-seeker to experience a sense of satisfaction with the answers that one has long sought after. If something feels like it is a lie, the exact opposite will occur: the truth-seeker is not fulfilled with the results he/she discovers, and that one will keep on looking for that one thing that makes him feel complete or has filled a void where something was once missing.

Pardon the massive explanation. I couldn't help but be intrigued by your question, because so many are stuck in wonderment when it comes to this.  It seems that real, genuine truth has become all too taboo for one to even inquire about it anymore.

    Agree?

  7. There is a distinct difference between what is truth and what is true.

It is true, based on common mathematical constructs shared by most, if not all, humans on Earth, that 2 + 2 = 4 but that does not mean it's the truth.

For the biblical scholars that answered this question, assume for the moment that there was a historical Christ but he was not the son of God, it may be true that he said, "I am the truth...," but it would not be the truth as he was not the son of God.

As for universal truths, if even one person or intelligent being did not believe it then it is not universal. For example, Wiccans have only one law, "Do no harm." I am sure that well over 90 percent of the human populace would agree with that. Then throw in a greedy industrialist that only cares about profits and doesn't mind putting his employees or the environment in jepardy and there goes your universal truth.

Honestly, I don't think Mankind has matured enough to know what Truth is. I'm sure everyone would agree on  the universal truth, "The universe exists and we are part of it." That would be assuming we are not just some random thought in the mind of God and that when his thoughts turn to other things, we cease to exist.

  8. truth is a fact of telling a lie which no one can hide.If u want to know/prove something is true then the better way of finding it is that u should not lie to yourself
