  1. you need to get a second opinion if you feel as though your doctor is not treating you right.

  2. First of all, you need to go to a neurologist and get a Brain MRI.   You need confirmation.  Network and research to find the best neurologist in your area.  Go to castleconnelly.com for a listing of America's Top Doctors.  You can perform a minimal search for free.

  3. Maybe you should enlighten me. You do not seem to know very well the difference between a scan (tomography) and a MRI but you feel qualified to interpret the results of one of these procedures better than the attending physician. And so you found a temperal cyst, no less. Perhaps you should look up temporal. And perhaps you should explain to us simple doctors how you came to that sophisticated scientific conclusion.

For crying out loud Katey, do you know what the symptoms of an arachnoid cyst are? Macro encephaly, hydroencephaly, seizures, ataxia, paralysis, hemiparesis, retarded development. I'm sure google will help you translate this medical gibberish and let you know whether you present any of those.

  4. Whoa, Katey! How on earth do you know you have a cyst on your brain? This is a complex diagnosis for a Dr. to make, much less a layperson. What specifically are your symptoms?

  5. Never heard of brain cysts, but you should CHANGE DOCTORS NOW!

  6. ok, did you have proper tests and a CAT scan. if so, trust the doctor. if not, go to another doctor. symptoms don't always mean you have something. i've had tons of symptoms for things but the problem was actually something totally different. just settle down the best you can and get a 2nd opinion.

  7. Assuming you've had an MRI to confirm the existence of your cyst, and your doctor is still refusing treatment for you, get a new doctor already.

  8. you should get another opinion and get a scan or something.  if its not there just be glad.
