Brain problems???????

Question

i have jus been told that iv a cyst on my brain 15mm in siz in the very centre of the brain! im scared waiting to c a neurologist now

please help

A neurologist is a specialist in these brain problems they know what makes your brain tick. If you have no experience in medical terms you should really talk to a neurologist because it is quite serious.

Try not to worry too much, cysts are very common and tend to come and go like the weather changes.

How did you find out you had a cyst? Did you have symptoms?

At least it isn't a tumour or anything worse.

You will be fine I assure you, they would never let you go home if you were at risk x

There is no need to worry.  Cysts, even on the brain, are almost always benign (no cancer) and almost always self contained.

There are many options for you - your neurologist will tell you.  Surgery to remove the cyst might be an option, shunting to remove the pressure might be an option, or perhaps they will want to just "observe" it for a while to see if it grows in size or just stays the same.

Don't worry about it too much.

Do not worry.  my son had a cyst 18 mnths ago and he's AOK now. keeping fit and healthy is a big asset. I'm sure you're in good hands.
