Is Braintree & Braintree Freeport one train station?

According to National Rail enquries website, they are 2 seperate stations, however, looking on multimap.com i can only find braintree.

National rail says the following info for each:

BRAINTREE

STATION APPROACH

BRAINTREE

CM7 6QL

[STATION CODE: BTR]

BRAINTREE FREEPORT

CHAPEL HILL RETAIL PARK

BRAINTREE

CM77 8YH

[STATION CODE: BTP]

I need the Latitude/Longitude of each station.

  1. i live near free port and its not the same station but there in the same town go to google maps and put in braintree freeport essex and your find that station and then the same for the station in town (its near riverside swimming pool).  and you can use the train from freeport it will go on to the station in town

  2. No, they are not the same place. A Freeport is for goods only, and may be for both rail and road transportation, or transfer from one to the other. To obtain the latitude and longitude, use google earth which will give you the same to two decimal points of seconds of a degree.

  3. They are two separate stations. Braintree Freeport, as the name suggests, was opened relatively recently to serve the adjacent retail park.

Streetmap gives the following Lat & Long for each:

    Braintree - 51° 52′ 32″ North, 0° 33′ 26″ East (51.87546, 0.557197)

    Braintree Freeport - 51° 52′ 09″ North, 0° 34′ 10″ East (51.869059, 0.569458)
