Brake light wont go out at all

Question

99 eclipse. I have removed the fuse and it stays off. When I put it back in the light stays on again.What could it be?

The brake switch above the pedal> Full up on the brake and see if the lights go out might need adj>Back it out till the lights go out>

the wire may be in contact  with other wires

I sound like you have aq bad brake light switch.  It is attached to your brake pedal arm up toward the top.  Unplug the wires from it and see if the light go out.  If it does you need a new brake switch.

Switch on the brake pedal may need adjusting.

probably the brake light switch up by the brake pedal is either bad or needs adjusted.
