  1. not alot of info so did you push the piston on calipers back in take a old pad and a C clamp and push the piston back in and then the new pads should fit if they are the correct ones and make sure you remove the cap on the master cylinder

  2. You can take a C-clamp and push the piston back into the caliper and that will make room for the new pads or you can put the pads back on and then pry between the pad and the piston and that will push the piston back into the caliper.

As the pads wear the piston comes out taking up the slack from the wearing pads. When you push the piston in this will push brake fluid back into the master cylinder and could posibly run over so you might want to watch out for that as brake fluid dissolves paint. Good luck.

  3. A large C-clamp (6 inch size) is the best way. Put the frame around behind, and use the s***w part to push the piston in. But it can be done with something like a hammer handle, while bracing the caliper against something solid. Unless you're talking about rear disc brakes. That's totally different. They need to be screwed in. Unless it's a 2005 or later Mustang. Then it could be either way, not sure.

  4. Use a C-clamp like they've said. but don't take out the old inner pad (the one next to the piston), just yet. Use the C clamp to put pressure on the old inner pad and the outside of the caliper. Then start compressing. You will see the piston go in. When it doesn't go in any more then you can take the old pad out and start replacing them. Make sure you take off the brake fluid reservoir cap because the back pressure will make it over flow.
