Branches that look like miniature trees?

Hey all you NZers out there! Im on the hunt for anyone who has pruned or cut down branches recently I need sturdy branches that look like mini trees on their own? This is for wedding decorations.. making a crystal wedding tree. A thick 'trunk' would be great! with branches comming out the top...

you could talk to your local City (or Borough) Council. They all have garden deprtments. Or a tree pruner - look in the yellow pages. Good luck - great idea.
