Brand New Unit does not draw in water

Question

The new unit I just plugged in does not appear to be drawing in water. (Christmas Present). I went through the whole priming process and I don't think it took any water in.What's more, is that the machine thinks it's brewing. It will tell me it's ready to brew and make a bunch of noises (and gets hot) but there's no signing whatsoever of moisture anywhere except the external reservoir.How noisy should the machine and does your machine vibrate enough to "walk" a mug off the platform it's supposed to sit on?Thanks for your help.
