Brand new GE Phone Dect 6.0 with three handsets is refusing to work! Please Help.?

Just about this phone and charged it for 16 hours as the brief instructional manual suggested. It keeps saying "out of range" - It has never worked since I bought it last week, should I return it or is there a step that I am missing, the manual is terrible and doesn't explain anything much, it is just a few pages..please help! Thanks in advnace :)

I have the same phone and it looks like you missed a step. You have to register each phone to the base.

It's real simple, just do the following:

-Hit the menu/ok button

-Go down to Handset Setup

-Go down to Registration and click it when the phone(s) are close to the base.

Hope it solves your problem. They're such cute phones. =)

did you put each handset ( extension ) on the cradle of the main-base to have it properly registered???
