Michael Phelps isn't retarded! I think he's a very intelligent person too and he is very humble :) he's so awesome. But you.. you're just plain crazy

He has a slight speech impediment but that's about it.

I think he is incredible to be able to accomplish what he has with ADHD.

If anything, he has a slight speech impediment. Personally, I think it is wonderful that not only is he the best swimmer this world has ever seen, he has overcome ADHD and speech problems. This may give hope to hundreds of children who otherwise feel inferior because of their disabilities.

umm, he talks different but other than that I see him as a very good guy who is well spoken, and doesn't trash talk. He does what he has to do to be the best swimmer of all time. I don't think r****d is the appropriate word to describe him.

um haha no the first time i heard him speak i kinda thought the same, but idont think so. i mean any1 who is as much of a freak of nature as him wont be completely normal but he isnt mentally retarded

In all the interviews I have seen he seems like a well spoken intelligent young man.
