Brand new watch running way to fast

Question

I just bought this watch and it is running 10 minutes ahead each hour. Terrible. I don't know what it could be. The instruction manual says something about removing a s***w in the winder before doing anything else. I do not understand what that means. I've never heard of such a user activity.
