The AS Saint-Etienne striker said it all while talking to reporters and hit out at former Olympique de Marseille president, Jean-Claude Dassier for forcing him to return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858
This is the story of a player who is out for redemption. After being convicted of rape of a young woman back in March 2011, Brazilian striker, Brandao has now been cleared of any wrong-doing. While talking to Paris, the Brazilian striker, who is a rejuvenated
man at AS Saint-Etienne, is relieved to see the case finally come to an end.
Brandao says that the moment he told the judge that he was innocent and did not do anything wrong, it was all over for him.
At that time, the former Shakhtar Donetsk man was under contract at Olympique de Marseille. The club’s president was Jean-Claude Dassier at that time. And, Brandao is still hurt with the way the former Marseille supremo handled the situation.
Although Dassier has now been replaced by Vincent Labrune, Brandao still holds a grudge for the man and says that it was very hard for him to digest the fact that the president said things that he should not have. Dassier chose to send Brandao back to his
native Brazil and the striker says that one should know the other person before condemning them.
“The hardest thing is the people who have judged me without knowing. A president, who is now gone, made comments that he should not have. He said things that upset me a lot, especially when he said that I would not wear the jersey of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127
again.”
Now, with the court clearing him out of any wrong-doing, Brandao has chosen to put that painful episode behind him in order to concentrate on the task at hand which is to make Les Verts a force to be reckoned with in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
“Only Saint-Etienne opened its doors. Many clubs thought I was guilty. I spent two very difficult months when I left OM. My ambition? To be a champion. God willing, things will come naturally. I want to be a champion. I’m not afraid of Paris, Marseille or
any club. they can come, it is not a problem. Scoring 14 goals, that would be nice. This is my jersey number.”
Out for redemption and to prove everyone wrong, Brandao is indeed a changed man which only bodes well for Christophe Galtier.
