Brandon Jennings hints of problems in Milwaukee Bucks locker room
Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings has indicated that the team may be having problems in the locker room. The team, which has struggled during the start of
the season, fell to a 2-5 record after losing to the New Orleans Hornets last Saturday.
"We just need to go out there and play basketball... Anybody can talk in the locker room," Jennings said to ESPN.
The Bucks looked sluggish at times against the undefeated Hornets. Jennings, who emerged as a strong candidate for the rookie of the year award last season after
averaging 15.5 points, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals, said that the Bucks could have benefited from imitating the Hornets' energy level.
Not on the same page
"It was just an ugly game for us... It's starting to get a little bit ridiculous now because every day it's like it's something -- shots not falling and we just
all break down. Some people are probably not on the same page, or I don't know what it is, but it's getting a little bit annoying now," said Jennings, who is averaging 14.3 points, 6.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds seven games into the new season.
"When things aren't going right, it just seems like the energy level goes all the way down. We have got to find something before it gets too late and it gets a
little ugly."
High expectations
Last season, the Bucks finished the regular season with a 46-36 record to clinch the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee's season ended after losing
a tough opening round series against the Atlanta Hawks. The Bucks and the Hawks figured in a hard-fought series that stretched to seven games.
So far this season, the team has dropped games against the Hornets (twice), the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Boston Celtics.
