Brandon Rios wants Pacquiao, Mayweather and Garcia – Boxing Special

Former WBA lightweight titlist Brandon Rios is definitely one of the most explosive fighters in the world of boxing today. His recent defeat over Mike Alvarado has brought him closer to a super-fight against elite fighters like Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather
Jr. In addition, reports of Rios fighting unbeaten American fighter Danny Garcia are already surfacing.
Recently, Rios moved up in weight and he is now ready to face the kings in the business. Rios scored a tenth round TKO over Alvarado. He is an unbeaten fighter with 31 wins in his bag, and probably no one out there to silent his roar.
When asked about a fight against Filipino fight sensation Manny Pacquiao, after the latter’s fight against Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez, Rios asserted, “If my manager Cameron Dunkin and Robert (Garcia) and my promoter Bob Arum can make the fight happen
with the winner out of Pacquiao and Marquez, why fight this guy? But if they can’t make it happen, why not? I’ll fight the guy.”
Rios was referring to Russian fighter Ruslan Provodnikov with ‘the guy’ phrase. The WBO recently ordered a showdown between the both for the vacant welterweight title of the organisation.
On the other hand, Rios believes the fight between Marquez and Pacquiao will be yet another thriller in the series. Marquez will be facing Pacquiao for the fourth time, having lost to the former WBO welterweight titlist twice before.
“It’s going to be a good fight. Obviously Marquez has proven in the last fight that he had won, but Pacquiao is going to want to make a statement. I think Pacquiao is going to be victorious and I think he’s going to go for a knockout,” said Rios.
Like many others, Rios is hoping for the showdown between Pacquiao and Marquez to be a legendary end to the epic rivalry between the Mexican and the Filipino. Even though Marquez is the only fighter who has been close to defeating the Filipino former champion,
he still is the underdog for the fight, as most boxing analysts believe Pacquiao is the man who will emerge victorious once again.
