Ivanovic admitted it was extremely tough to watch his team battle it out with one of the top German sides in the Champions League final. Not only did the Blues make a late comeback through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044’s late equalizer, but also emerged victorious in the
penalty shoot-out.
Ivanovic said while speaking to reporters:
“Many times it is said that some matches are harder to watch than play, and I would say that the Champions League final is at the top of the list.
I was so nervous that it was hard to watch. The hardest was in extra time and during penalties.

According to Ivanovic, it was tougher to watch the match then participate with the rest of the team. He revealed he was extremely nervous throughout the fixture, especially in extra time and the penalty shoot-out. The Serb felt powerless, but was extremely
pleased after his side emerged victorious.
Bayern Munich took the lead, but Didier Drogba did well to equalize just before the match ended. The match went to extra time but remained 1-1, because of which there had to be penalties. Even though the Blues missed their opening shot, they went on to win

Ivanovic believed his side had won because they had faith and had remained determined to win it even after the German side had scored.
He continued:
“We won because we believed in ourselves. Even when Bayern scored, we were sure that we could do it. This victory is the biggest one in my life. As a footballer you live for something like that.”
