The more I see them advertise Bratz the more upset I get.I feel our influence on tweens is already big enough, why do we have to introduce a doll such as this?It is a parents responsibility to teach children "this is a doll, not real life. And you will not dress like your doll."But MANY parents won't teach their children this and this is what upsets me.
I hate how the dolls emphisizes their small waist, big lips, makeup, scantily clad dress and high heels. Not to mention their advertising does nothing but advertise materalistic tendacies (Bratz diamonds?)
Maybe I am just an old geezer(19years going on 30)but barbie is a classic. There is a doctor barbie, holywood barbie, and every barbie you can imagine! They come in all colors and ethnicities!Yes you can dress barbie in a nice litte half shirt and short skirt, but barbie is not marketed that way.
I would not buy this doll for my child.I can teach them proper ways of acting without having a doll that contradicted everything I am teching them.
