Brave Echo to bolt through the 400 metre track at Romford on 2nd May, 2012
Brave Echo, Front Stage, Lughill Simon, Fabulous Swiss, Kerplunk, and Pennys Mossy will compete at Romford for £135 over a distance of 400 metres in the Grade A1 400m Flat race.
Among this line-up, Brave Echo is looking like the leading contender as he will race as a race favourite with a winning shot of 11 to 4.
The black hound will enter the race from trap 3, and will aim for the victory with the hope that he can cross the wire first.
Trained by M. Lucas, the hound ran his first solo on 19th May 2009, where he completed the course of 400 metres in 25.05 seconds.
The son of Balintore Brave, out of Shanaknock Echo, competed in his maiden on 2nd June, 2009, and sealed it with a success as he defeated, Fabulous County, by 2 ¼ lengths in 25.20 seconds.
Brave Echo’s first victory of the season took place on 26th January, 2012, when he went head to head against the M. Locke trained, Jazz Gibbo, in the Grade A1 400m flat race at Romford.
He bagged the victory by a narrow margin of 1 ¼ lengths in 24.35 seconds.
In his most recent start, the black hound, who was whelped on 9th January, 2008, stood third as he completed the 400 metre course in 24.79 seconds against the winner, Aero Topaz’s winning time of 24.33 seconds.
Front Stage, son of Droopys Scolari, out of Twilight Fantasy, will challenge Brave Echo’s run to the victory. Breaking out of trap 2, the hound will be racing with the odds of 7 to 2.
The E. Gaskin trained hound has the same advantage as Brave Echo, which is familiarity with the track. He began his career on 21st June, 2011 and stood third in his career maiden.
Throughout his racing career, his performances have varied as he scored some terrific victories along with some disappointing races.
Brave Echo is the speculated winner for today’s race and he is expected to land a victory, however, Front Stage may give him a serious run for his money and steal the show.
