Brave Vic favourite for Betfred Supports The British Heart Foundation Day Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race
Brave Vic is expected to dominate proceedings in the Betfred Supports The British Heart Foundation Day Intermediate Open National Hunt Flat Race at Fontwell in England on Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The winner of the class-6 event will be awarded a cash prize
of £1,365.
The going will be good to soft in the 1 mile 6 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 17:25 GMT and a total of 13 runners have been attracted towards it. Their names are as follows: Suerte Al Salto, Brave Vic, Amazing D´azy, Buffy The Beatle, Was My
Valentine, Sylvan Legend, Father Arthur, Mrbob Escott, Showtime, Affiliate, Invicta Lake, Laser Lad and Madam Fleur.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Brave Vic seems to be in the best shape at the moment. He is an inexperienced runner, but a few of his rivals have not even taken part in any event. This will encourage the punters to go with the choice of the bookies
in today’s race.
The four-year-old gelding has only participated in one race and performed extremely well in it. This was his first ever outing, thus he was not given the best odds for victory. Despite that, he managed to challenge his rivals and finished runner up in the
end.
Although the Gary Moore’s trainee was unable to cause any problems for the race winner, he caught the attention of the bookies with his strong run. He is looking in very good rhythm right now, thus has a chance to bring up his maiden victory at Fontwell.
Brave Vic will be partnered by Joshua Moore, who is a good rider, but needs to improve his overall strike rate in order to attract more bets from the punters.
On the other hand, Suerte Al Salto has also managed to get very good odds for the race, despite the fact that he failed to make an impression in his maiden race. He was not given the best odds back then, but was expected to finish in the top three.
However, the five-year-old gelding could not challenge his rivals and ended up in a disappointing 11th place. He will be partnered by seasoned jockey, Daryl Jacob, which is why the bookies have shown faith in him.
