Braves Fan, what do you think of this Braves team next year?

8. Martin Prado/Kelly Johnson (one of them is gone, trade for pitching)

It is a contact hitting team that HR total probably won’t exceed 120 per year but they can run if Cox let them. The outfield defence are very strong and they are young so should not be too much bothered by injuries. Infield defence is a concern but it is not too bad.

I believe this line up is cheap enough to give Braves a lot of spare money. Let’s hope rotation look like this:

CC Sabetha/Ben Sheet

Derek Lowe

JJ

Jorge Campillo

Mike Hampton/Charlie Morton

Getting both CC and Ben is next to impossible so I put Derek there. If Mike is gone, then Charlie or JoJo should get a shot. I still think they should stay in the Minor for one more year.

Closer: Mike Gazo. He is good. I got a feel his velocity is gradually coming back. Having him for the whole year, the pen should be in a reasonable shape.

Managers: if Bobby retires, why not ask Leo Mazzone back. I know he is crazy and all but I really like his Philosophy of the game.

I think it will be a very good running and run manufacturing team with good pitching. What do you think?

not having mark texeria will hurt, but if that team is healthy they should mose def. be contenders for the east.

I have no idea where you got the thought of the Braves getting both C.C and Ben Sheets. its not gonna happen.

Alright I think the Braves would have a better shot at C.C because he wants to be on a national league team and when Ben sees all the dollars he could make in New York he will go there. Now Smoltz could come back and if he does I don't see why the Braves would let him go, the guy is over 40 and yet he can still throw 95+. but I predict the Braves will go about 80-82 if Kotchman continues his development.
