It wouldbe a good move for the Braves to trade him because Scott Boras is going to do the same thing he did with A Rod. People are overlooking it, but i think that he has a good chance at becoming a yankee, Giambi is not an everyday 1st baseman, and Richie Sexson was a pathetic sign. But i think it all comes down to whether Posada has surgery or not, cause he can play 1st.

Will not happen, the Angels are happy with Kasey Kotchman. The Angels tried last year, but now they know what they have at 1b, and they like all their outfielders to rotate at DH, so they don't have any place for him.

No if the Braves' deal Tex they better get somebody worthwhile.

The Braves would have to get a lot more then that for Teixeira.

here is why:

If the Braves do not sign Tex and

(1) the player signs with another club before December 2; or

(2) the club offered arbitration to the free agent but failed to re-sign him

They would get a draft-pick compensation and with Tex being an elite player they would get compensated with the signing club’s first-round draft pick and a supplemental pick between the first and second rounds.
