Brazil legend Carlos Alberto backs Neymar and Chelsea target the Santos striker for success
Carlos Alberto Torres, the former Brazilian defender who is believed to be one of the highly rated defenders of his time, backed Santos striker Neymar. The 19-year-old Brazilian forward has proved to be one of the most exciting upcoming young players and
has already been linked with a move to top European sides in the upcoming transfer window.
Neymar has been compared to the likes of Robinho and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, Real Madrid
and Inter Milan. To ward off interest the Brazilian outfit has gone on to place a price tag of £30 million on the young forward.
Alberto was optimistic about the future of the Brazilian national team, especially with the host of young talent that had come up recently. The 66-year-old said while speaking to reporters, “At this moment, we have a very good new generation in Brazil. We
have good young players and the new coach [Mano Menezes] realizes that and is giving a chance to many players.”

He continued, “His potential is very big. He is a very, very good player. Of course, because of his age, he has no experience yet
and he makes mistakes. I believe in him and I think he will be a very good player.”
Alberto is not the only one who thinks Neymar is on his way to become a star, Chelsea are on a relentless chase to land the Brazilian star. They have been on his trail since last summer and tried their luck in the January transfer window, only to be turned
down by the player who assumed he would not get enough first team experience with the London side.
He has been doing exceptionally well in Brazil though, for both club and country. In his three seasons at Santos, Neymar has gone on to make 119 appearances and score 60 goals. He has maintained his form for the national team, scoring 3 goals in 3 appearances,
with his first goal coming on his debut against the USA in a friendly.
