Brazil sends all world cup teams a message by defeating Gambia 5-1

Brazil won its second and last friendly game against Tanzania on a score of 5-1. The Selecao started the game with its starting eleven and it was a success as the scores indicates. Kaka was leading his team as a maestro and Robinho took care of the rest. This game showed the fluidity of Brazil's game and how the team was able to produce and create a great brand of soccer.

At Dar Es Salaam, Brazil beat Tanzania 5-1 concluding its last friendly game on a great note before heading to South Africa. Robinho and Ramires took care of the scoring for Brazil as both player scored 2 goals each in the game. After an easy win against Zimbabwe a few days before on a score of 3-0, Brazil filled up its confidence meter with goals before they spend their last week in South Africa, seeking its 6th World Cup title in its 19th World Cup participation. With Julio Cesar out with an injury, Brazil played with its typical starting eleven as they took on the Tanzania, ranked 108th in the FIFA World rankings.

The match up is obviously uneven between the number one ranked against the 108th but Dunga was looking for chemistry to settle in even more between his players. Dunga was looking for his team to produce an excellent brand of soccer and to maintain that high level throughout a whole game. The Selecao did not disappoint depending largely on a Kaka in great shape and very active in the midfield, imposing himself as the brain of his team. He was rewarded for his efforts when he scored his team's 4th goal with 15 minutes left in the game: he received a pass from right back Maicon at the 76th minute.

Before Kaka's goal, Robinho made sure the win was in the pocket when he scored two goals. His first goal was from a shot at the 10th minute and his second goal was a conclusion of a Michel Bastos run and pass to the far post. The Santos striker, loaned from Manchester City, is continuing his hot scoring streak as he also scored against Zimbabwe. On the other side, the lack of goals from striker Luis Fabiano is worrisome and a source of worries for Dunga. The FC Sevilla forward has been clumsy and Dunga hopes that he can be ready mentally when the World Cup starts.

A note of satisfaction for coach Dunga is the excellent performance of youngster Ramires. Ramires came into the game and scored 2 goals, one at the 53rd minute and the second at 92nd minute. The Brazilian dominance was obvious and expected but Tanzania saved its honor when Aziz scored at the 86th minute, making 15000 fans at the stadium happy.

After the game, Dunga gabe a positive report of his team's preparation campaign: ''The time has come to refine our work. The preparation phase has passed as expected. We need now to decrease our practice time and get to more quality. We have players with different characteristics and we can take advantage of that at the right moment. They are capable to change the course of the game. These are variables that we can use depending on the opponent and his characteristics.''

As a reminder, the Selecao will open its World Cup against North Korea to then play Portugal and the Ivory Coast. This group is the group of death and it is expected that goal average will be important. Winning is important but feel free to win with a lot of goals against North Korea. Portugal and the Ivory Coast are excellent teams it is an extremely hard group to start in.

Brazil, Welcome to Africa.
