Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano moved from Sevilla back to his former club Sao Paolo for approximately 7.6 million Euros. The Brazilian has signed a four year contract with the club after losing his first team place in Sevilla.
The Brazilian Club confirmed, "It is the realisation of a dream and a gift for all the Sao Paulo community," club president http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Juvenal-c20165 Juvencio told the club's official website.
"Luis Fabiano has a 'tricolour' soul and will bring to our team the quality, fun, irreverence and fighting spirit that have always characterised him."
The Sao Paolo representative told the media that negotiations with the striker were ongoing for the last four months and they had to move to an agreement quickly, as other teams were also looking to secure his signature.
"The striker gave up his annual remuneration, which in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 is paid at the end of each season, (to help the move go through)," the club said.
"Money isn't everything in life. Nothing pays for the happiness I feel at wearing again the shirt of the team of my heart," Luis Fabiano told the club's website.
Fabiano signed a three year extension to his Sevilla contract in August but he had an unsettling season due to injuries and poor form. Fabiano leaves the club as a joint top scorer with ten goals this season.
"A great player is leaving who will always be remembered as one of the best players to have worn a Sevilla shirt," the Spanish club said on their website.
"We wish him all the best in this next stage of his career with Sao Paulo, the club where he earned the nickname the 'Fabulous One', which will always be with him."
Fabiano, who signed from Porto in 2005, has been a dominant figure behind Sevilla’s success in his five-and-a-half-year stay at the club. He scored 105 goals for the club in 214 appearances and helped them win UEFA Cup for two successive seasons (2006 and
2007).  He was also part of the 2007 and 2010 Copa del Rey winning Sevilla side.
