I am getting my hair cut on thursday right above my shoulders and i have curly/wavy hair so i am getting the Brazilian Keratin Treatment to straighten my hair. Do you guys know any things that i cant do after i get it done or any special things i should put in my hair after i get it done. Will it dry out my hair or anything?

  1. If I understand the order, you are doing the treatment first. That would be the best because your nape hairs will rest differently straightened. Maybe the stylist could remove some hair if it is a significant amount of length that is being cut off. First off there are several things that you can't do doing the neutralizing stage three to four days after your treatment. No pony tails, headbands, bobby pins, propped up sunglasses and no tucking the hair behind your ears. Think, imprint, imprint, imprint. No exercising, wetting or hair products on the hair because the hair needs to rest and recrystalize without reactivating the keratin. If there are any waves or kinks that happen during your sleep just iron or blow them out. After the curing time, you must use salt free (sulfate, sodium chloride, etc.) shampoo and conditioners. Salt is the coating's enemy and will shorten the life span of the treatment. Hope this answers your questions.
