Question:

Brazilian jiu jitsu and dreadlocks?

I've been looking at videos and gym websites because BJJ seems interesting to me, but like 95% of these dudes have shaved head type of haircuts.

I see the advantage, but would someone like me with about 3 years worth of hair and dreadlocks that are still developing, be able to practice BJJ?

I can imagine my training partners being very annoyed possibly.

  1. its just hair, youll be fine. It may get hot and annoying to you though.

  2. Well, it could possibly be a disadvantage to you. but at one of my friends BJJ place, a couple people have longer hair. you could always use a band and put your dreads in a pony tail. It would be like the UFC referee Herb Dean. He has really long dreads and he fights in EliteXC. if professionals do it, you should be able to also.
