Brazilian legend Branco reveals secret of success in World Cup as ‘drinking and s*x’
It may come as a surprise to many, but the Brazilian marvel Branco has revealed the self-believe and cooked up a recipe for the winner in the World Cup. The defensive full back in the triumphant Brazilian team of 1994 has the ideology that it’s good to relieve your tension with your mate; just as long as it’s not your team mate’s mate.
Branco, who is now 46 years old, “What harm is there in it? My son Stefano was conceived during the 1994 World Cup when I spent a day off in San Francisco with my wife”.
He further said, “s*x is good for you. It relieves tension. We hadn’t won the World Cup for 24 years, so it didn’t do us any harm.” Well as far as the word harm can be defined in this sentence; it does not hold the description of the outrage from critics back then, but of course they won the World Cup in a football crazy nation, such that many believe that the blue globe on their flag is in fact a football so the critics were shunned.
Laying rules to his hypothesis, the Selecao star said, “s*x at the camp should only be ruled out with a team-mate’s wife. What you can’t do is stuff your face until four in the morning or stay in a brothel”.
He told that whatever means the team had of entertainment, they were always in under the boundaries, “We were very professional when we won the World Cup in ‘94. We went there to win it.” He then added, “Drinking was allowed and we’d have three or four drinks to relax. What's wrong with that?” In answer to that; many would say ‘most certainly nothing’, but then the boundaries were set by themselves.
“If it were a problem, then there wouldn’t be any football in England or Germany where they drink beer, or in Italy, France and Argentina; where they drink wine. It is part of the culture,” he said while further advocating his opinion.
He added relating to himself, “There was drink in ‘94, I conceived my son and everyone said we were perfect physically and tactically. What’s the problem”?
In the last warm up match by Brazil, Robinho scored two goals along with the substitute midfielder Ramires while Kaka had a good game and scored one too. The match ended with Tanzania losing 5-1.
The only bad sign for the Selecao stars was goalkeeper walking off the pitch because of his back but the brilliant Heurelho Gomes took over from him marvellously. The Brazilian coach Dunga stated that he was happy that none of his players got injured in the end after saying that Cesar will be cleared.
Gomes along with other team mates was extremely enthusiastic of staring in the first line up against North Korea he went on to say that he won’t let his team down. He stated, "Yes, it's a chance for me. I feel good but i think Julio Cesar will be fit".
Brazil is one country that has won the most time on each continent. With Dunga in charge the team’s energy, agility and capability to attack is bound to increase even more than before. The wearers of canary yellow shirts are also known as Seleção and are placed in one of the toughest group. Group G includes North Korea, Portugal and Ivory Coast.
For Brazil their turn of events will happen with their clash against the Portugal squad. If they manage to handle their offence and perceive their strategies in the midfield they have a high chance of winning. They should exploit the poor Portuguese defence with their arsenal of strikers and have a pragmatic approach towards wings. The Brazilian’s have some good news too; it appears that the Portugal striker Nani has injured his shoulder, so the substitute will play for him. Still the Selecaos should keep a wary eye on the Portugal attack. Their players can go for the one-man-show just good as the other and produce a stunner.
