Mexican sensation Javier Hernandez has made a huge impact at Old Trafford ever since he joined Manchester United.
Initially, he was kept as a substitute but after winning a couple of matches coming off from the bench, he has become an important player for the Red Devils. He has already scored 20 goals for his side and 13 of these important goals have come in the English
Premier League. He also scored the first goal against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the first minute of the match, taking the Blues by surprise in the decider of the season.
Although the League is almost settled but Manchester United will also feature in the final of the UEFA Champions League against Barcelona. Therefore, the players are being watched very closely and Hernandez is the one player who has taken everyone by surprise.
The Brazilian legend Pele has now described him as a promising and excellent player. Pele said that Hernandez will improve and after some time he will be the next Lionel Messi. The Mexican has a lot of potential and has great ability to score goals which makes
him the next sensation in world of football.
Javier Hernandez is currently 22 years old, only one year younger than the World Player of the Year, Lionel Messi. At his age, Messi was already the best player in the world and was on his way to win his second award. In addition, the brilliant Messi was
breaking records and scoring goals at a frequency faster than any other player around him. Therefore, this brings a lot of pressure on Hernandez, who does not need comparisons at this point and only needs to focus on his game.
There are always comparisons drawn in football but most of them are pointless. This comparison also lacks real knowledge about football and how both players differ in the role they play in their respective sides. Javier Hernandez could not be compared to
Lionel Messi because both players bring different things to the table. Pele has only made his statement based on goal scoring of both players, completely neglecting the number of assists made by the Argentinean in a Barcelona shirt in the ongoing season.
Hernandez has great positioning in the box and good movement off the ball. This lets him to find empty spaces where he reaches the ball before the defenders, which makes it easy for him to finish off the moves. This is a quality of a great centre-forward
and Hernandez is definitely going to be one of the best in the world in this regard. Although he can also play on the flanks but it is not his strong area and he is only potent as long as he is inside the box.
On the other hand, Lionel Messi is a completely different kind of player. The young maestro makes his runs from the midfield, tearing down the opposition defences and luring as many defenders as he can towards him. This leads to open spaces where Messi finds
his teammates who can score goals.
In addition to this, Messi can continue his run and with a return pass, he is often the goal scorer himself. The Argentinean is known for his exceptional dribbling skills and unbelievable balance. His short stature plays in his favour as the low centre of
gravity allows him to keep running with the ball despite rash tackles by the opposition. This is something very rare in football these days, and this makes Messi an incredible player to watch.
Nevertheless, Hernandez has had a great season and he will only improve from here.
Lionel Messi has had a better season from last year and he is once again going to be the favourite for his third award in a row. This means that Hernandez has to go a very long way before he can even be termed as a great player as Lionel Messi.
