Brazilian midfielder Denilson urges Shakhtar Donetsk star Willian to pick Arsenal over Chelsea - EPL News
The 23-year-old Arsenal midfielder Denilson urged fellow countryman Willian, who is currently playing for Ukrainian club, Shakhtar Donetsk, to make a move to Arsenal instead of London rivals Chelsea.
Willian has been linked heavily with a move to the defending champions at the end of the season, with the 22-year-old attacking midfielder c*m winger admitting he would like to play for the Blues.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Willian-c36898 currently has just one year remaining on his existing contract and has made no efforts to renew his contract. The Ukrainian outfit would be better off selling the player while he is still contracted to the club, with an opportunity to make some money
from his departure. Next season he will be a free agent and Shakhtar Donetsk risk losing him as a free transfer.
The former Brazil under-20 international is expected to fetch an estimated £25 million, a price the Blues are reportedly happy to pay. Willian admitted that while no official offer had been made by the London side, he was more than happy to be linked with
one of the biggest clubs in England. The Brazilian also mentioned the possible arrival of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639 at Chelsea and his desire to play alongside the Santos striker.
However, the Arsenal midfielder Denilson said he felt that Willian would be better off at Arsenal and encouraged the Shakhtar Donetsk man to snub Chelsea. The midfielder played an essential part in leading his side into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions
League. Denilson has witnessed Willian’s style of play and thinks he would be much better suited with the Gunners rather than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Denilson said while speaking to reporters, “Willian would be perfect for Arsenal. I know him well from the Brazil youth team and he had a real winning mentality then. I've heard Chelsea are interested, but his character could improve our team and his style
would fit much better at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-Maseru-c38430.”
The Gunners midfielder continued, “We need match-winners at Arsenal and knowing what he does for Shakhtar and the national team I know he could do the same in England. He has great vision and ability and is one of the best creative players I have played
with. I've spoken to him and told him that he could be a success with us.”
Arsenal are still a top club and are currently second on the English Premier League table, seven points behind league leaders Manchester United, with a game in hand. They run the risk of ending up trophy-less in yet another season, making it six years since
the last time they won silverware.
The current Arsenal squad could really use a dynamic player like Willian, a summer bidding war looks to be in order between Arsenal and Chelsea for the Brazilian star.
