The new Brazilian coach announced his team before the Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841. Brazilians are the defending champions and they are currently on a run to win the South American competition for the fourth time in a row.
In case the Brazilians win this title again, it will take their tally to 9 titles. Currently, the leaders of this competition are http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 and Argentina who have won 14 titles apiece.
Mano Menezes decided to select a perfectly balanced team as he announced his squad for this competition. The Brazilian coach decided to take two of the best goal stoppers available to him – http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Julio-Cesar-c19961 and Victor. Julio Cesar is currently playing in the
Italian side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 at the moment. Victor, on the other hand, is currently playing for Gremio and he is most probably going to be a back up option for the Brazilians.
Mano Menezes has a lot of great defenders available to him. The Brazilian coach chose the best men available to him at the back. In the right back position, Menezes will have selection crises as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-c9879 Alves are equally exceptional.
While Maicon proved himself during the FIFA World Cup 2010, Daniel Alves proved himself during the last season which he played for the Spanish side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604. Alves managed to help his team win the Spanish La Liga, the Spanish Super Cup and also the UEFA
Champions League. On the other hand, Maicon’s season was not very intriguing; however, his season with Inter Milan before the FIFA World Cup 2010 was fabulous and that was one of the reasons why he was chosen by Dunga as the first team performer.
Another Barcelona star Adriano has also been named by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carles-Puyol-c8331 as Eric Abidal played in the centre back role and Adriano played as a left back. The former Sevilla man joined
Barcelona last season and did not take too much time to adapt to their style of play.
The Inter Milan man Lucio is also named in the Brazilian squad. Lucio will be wearing the captain’s armband during the Copa America 2011, just like he did during the FIFA World Cup 2010. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucio-c22597 is one of the best centre backs available to Menezes but he will
still have selection crises in the centre back role as he has three exceptional centre backs available to him.
The new http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Silva-c34903 who has also made it to the Brazilian
squad after his fabulous performance with the Italian club.
David Luiz is still trying to make his way in the Chelsea first team. Even though he is outstanding while helping the team in making a move up front; he is still learning how to defend in the Premier League.
