Brazilian youngster Neymar willing to wear Bianconeri Jersey
The young Brazilian starlet, Neymar, has suggested a move to Europe at last, as many clubs are showing interest in signing the player. However, among all the big clubs interested in signing the player, the striker from Santos has chosen Juventus as his dream
destination.
The 18-year-old Brazilian international is on the list of scouts from all big clubs of Europe. He is the biggest sensation of Brazilian football, at a point when the team is really looking for a striker to replace the old legs in their team. The youngster
performed well for his club in Brazil, as he scored 26 goals in 48 appearances in the 2010-2011 Season. He is definitely the hottest among the fresh talent coming from South America and every club is keen on cashing in the opportunity.
A former World Cup winner for Brazil, Carlos Alberto, has also spoken about the brilliance of Neymer. According to him, the Brazilian forward is the best player from his country in the last five years. Alberto also said that the striker is ready for a move
into big European clubs and in a few years he would be ready to become one of the best in the world.
Neymar had his opportunity to move into Europe in this season’s summer transfer window. Chelsea had their eye on the youngster and they made a bid worth around £25 million in August. This is a big amount that is often not rejected by clubs from smaller leagues
like Brazil. However, there was something in the player that led Santos to review Neymar’s contract, as they did not want him to leave the club. Neymar was offered an increase in salary and the youngster decided to stay in his home club.
In the new contract, Santos realized the importance of the player and increased his buy-out clause to £40 million. Again this price tag was put in order to save him from big clubs of Europe, who would now have to spend a lot more in order to hire his services.
However, Neymar believes that a move to Juventus is really achievable despite of claims by officials of Santos that the striker is not for sale.
Neymar also told the press that there were five big clubs interested in signing him in January. These clubs covered three major leagues of Europe and included Chelsea and Manchester United, from English Premier League, Juventus and Inter Milan, from Italian
Serie A, and Real Madrid from Spanish La Liga.
The youngster clearly snubbed the prospects from English Premier League clubs and Real Madrid, as he showed his desire to play for Juventus. However, he told the press that his favourite player, Ronaldo, played for Inter Milan, but he still preferred the
Old Lady for the worldwide appeal.
At this point, snubbing the other big clubs of Europe seems unimportant for the player. When the player is put for sale, all the big clubs would engage themselves in signing him because of his great reputation. Also, Liverpool has shown desire to sign a
few youngsters in order to improve their squad. So, Neymar would see other clubs joining in the race of signing him in the winter transfer window. There is also a big price tag attached to him, so in the end the club who is willing to pay a huge compensation
to Santos would seal the deal.
Juventus is the club constantly on the rise at the moment. They have made some big signings this summer, but they are willing to bring in new players in winter as well. The club officials have already spoken about this, so it means that there are some players
on their list. So, it would not be a great surprise if Neymar comes to Juventus in January. It would be a great move for the player, who would be in his dream club, while it would also be a huge progress in the club’s title challenge this year.
