  1. It does depend on area too - grocery shopping is more expensive in central Auckland than in Christchurch, and beer at pubs is also more expensive in busier places.


  2. Bread and milk are very expensive here In New Zealand. You can pay about $3 for a loaf of bread. Sometimes more and sometimes less If you can grab It on special. Milk Is around $3.80 for a 2 litre but then again you can get It slightly cheaper at some places.  Fruit Is fairly cheap. At the moment Apples are about $2.99 a kilo where necterines are about $5.99 a kilo. Beer at the pub Is about and around $7 per jug. But this Is just for a pub. Other places depending on how flash they are can charge alot more than that.
