  1. Straight got it just dead on the head ball with draw

If your hitting an angle the cue will wind up in Utah

  2. Heres a link to an article by Blackjack David Sapolis. I think it provides great detailed advice. Keep at it, and have fun.

  3. Regardless of where you choose to place the cue ball when breaking, it's essential to contact the head ball full on.  This way you transfer 100% of the cue ball's energy into the rack.  If you're off to one side even a little bit, you lose a lot of effective force and the remaining energy stays with the cue ball, causing it to move around the table.  Also, until you have the control you need to regularly park the cue ball in the center of the table, you might want to slow your break down a little bit.  A good, solid hit on the head ball doesn't require that much force to spread the balls nicely.  As your control increases, feel free to add power.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  4. Hi bill!, If you want to watch a guy break and constantly have a shot usually to the side watch Reyes!, His  que iball  is always almost on the same spot!. center of the table, that takes a lot of practice to accomplish.

That's what it's all about, nobody can say that Reyes winds up on the same spot, and it's all luck!. Johnny, and Straight told you how, now it;s all about practice.

  5. It's also much easier to keep the ball in the center of the table breaking from close to the center rather than at the side rail.

Instead of trying to hit it as hard as you can and slowing it down to figure out how to keep it in the center, start by practicing breaking with just a medium stroke. Increase how hard you break gradually, until you feel you're hitting it as hard as you possibly can without losing control.

Make sure you spend a significant amount of time just practicing your breaking. Many people will not practice breaking at all, or just read how to do it and do not spend the time to make sure they're doing it right. Spend about 20 minutes or so in every practice session just racking up the balls and breaking (not running out the rack) until you are comfortable with your break.

  6. Try bottom English when you break?

  7. well it all began a hundred years ago. and thats all I've got.
