Should I learn how to do a windmill from the turtle freeze before I can do it from a baby freeze? I have heard it was easier to do it from a baby freeze and if so should I learn how to do a windmill from the baby freeze before I can do a standing windmill. Also another question (sorry lol), should I learn how to do any windmill (from standing, baby, or turtle) before I can do the baby mills? Sorry it was a lot to ask

  1. Hey John K,

I know from my own experience that starting from a baby freeze (should really learn from one-handed freeze) is much easier than from a turtle freeze. Learning how to Mill from this position is essential. It will help you master more power moves such as head-spins, 90s, etc. Another point is that when you learn how to perform continuous mills, you will only be on one hand/arm when transitioning, not in the turtle position. I don't think you need to learn standing mills before starting baby mills, but it's sort of inherent, isn't it? If you can do mills really well, then you can add a coin drop in order to do standing mills. If you can perform mills well, then you can move on to baby mills. I think producing a lot of torque for baby mills can be very difficult. Do you need to learn standing mills? Probably not, but I doubt that you'll be able to perform babies if you mills are not up to par.
