  1. French Toast of course!!!

  2. Breakfast

The normal day begins with a light breakfast in the morning, generally consisting of:

bread with jam and spreads, often replaced nowadays by breakfast cereals,

a hot drink such as coffee, tea or chocolate flavored milk,

viennoiseries (not as a rule, see below),

    some fruit or fruit juice.

Hotel breakfasts often contain croissants, but it is uncommon for french people to eat croissants at every breakfast; they may be replaced with other kinds of viennoiserie such as pains au chocolat, madeleines etc.

  3. I only stayed in Paris, France for one night (only because my group and I missed our connecting flight and HAD to stay overnight).  We did not go out to breakfast, but the hotel provided us with food.  I remember there was coffee, cereal, bread, apples, oranges, and yogurt.  Pretty much your basic hotel continental breakfast.  However, if you actually go our to eat for breakfast, I would imagine it might be a bit different.

  4. some thing really fancy--- and something we don't have in america

  5. If you go out to eat for breakfast, don't expect to find "American breakfasts" in many places other than McDonald's.  In most restaurants and cafes, you will be able to order coffee, hot chocolate, juice, tea, and either bread or croissants.  In most hotels, the breakfast is provided. There, they may also offer yogurt, fresh fruit in season, hot and cold cereals, applesauce and milk.  It's rare to see eggs anywhere at breakfast except in American places.  Coffee is stronger than what is served in the US... and many French drink it "au lait" which is with hot milk stirred into it.  Typically, the French themselves eat just some bread and jam and coffee.  Croissants are a special treat maybe only on weekends.  Another special treat is a croissant with a strip of chocolate inside called a "pain au chocolat", or "chocolate bread."
