Breakfast in Saigon ?

Can anyone recommend good local (not touristy) restaurants in Saigon. Are there any that serve American or English food (other than the hotels). Nightclubs where there is dancing (older crowd). Any American expat clubs or corner bars (pubs) ? Thanks.

  1. There is a great steak and egg breakfast place near the US consulate that we go to whenever I'm in town but I can't remember the name of it or the street. It's in back of a yellow building down a small alley/driveway. Someone else may post the name:-)

If you go to Cafe 357 on Dien Bien Phu street, (on the "Rolex clock" rotary) you can get superb seafood. You can also ask my friend Thai where the breakfast place is. (His family owns the Cafe 357).

Try Santo's Pizza on Bu Dien street, in the back-packer section, for American food. It's another place I go to whenever I get the chance. The club sandwich is great!

I'm sorry that I can't help you with either the pub or disco. I seldom go to Saigon unless it's to shop or visit friends.
